自然及環(huán)境類新聞組照銅獎(jiǎng)作品。 匈牙利紅泥災(zāi)害 The red mud catastrophe in Hungary 2010年10月4日，大量有毒紅泥從匈牙利一家鋁廠廢水池涌向附近三個(gè)村莊，造成10人死亡，百人受傷。這些強(qiáng)堿性、有毒的紅泥覆蓋大約40平方公里的土地，對(duì)生態(tài)環(huán)境和經(jīng)濟(jì)造成不可估量的損失。
泄漏的紅泥是生產(chǎn)氧化鋁時(shí)產(chǎn)生的副產(chǎn)品，對(duì)身體有害，含強(qiáng)堿性有毒金屬鉛及其他物質(zhì)。與皮膚接觸可能致命，因此需用足夠多的水把它洗凈。 The spilling red mud is the byproduct of alumina production, harmful to health. It contains heavily alkaline and toxic metals, lead (Pb) among others. Coming in contact with the skin the mud causes a virulent effect, so it has to be washed with abundant water right away.
